What do you guys think?
2007 RX 400h w/121K miles at a non-lexus dealer, 1 owner, clean carfax for $12K (no warranty). Looks like all maintenance including TB, Water Pump, fluids, brakes and Inverter recall done. car drives fine. interior pristine, couple of dings but nothing that a lot dent guy cant pop out.
What should I expect to go at this mileage as far as hybrid or non-hybrid elements...steering pump/rack? cats? I am already budgeting about 1500 for the hybrid battery reconditioning.
Just debating whether to go this route or am I asking for trouble.
Feedback appreciated.

You can also take the VIN number to the local Lexus dealer, and they can run a printout listing ALL the things that have been done at any Lexus dealership, as well as all parts ordered for that particular VIN. I'm not sure if there is a charge, but that would also be a great way to check if some damage had been repaired through "alternate" channels, i.e. not paid through insurance, and then wouldn't show up on Carfax..

There haven't been too many issues with the HV batteries. Not a bad idea to keep money aside like you stated. Also don't count on Lexus to cover a battery. I've seen two Prius that toyota did not cover. They both had around 140k on them.
The steering rack is electric so you don't have to worry about fluid leaks.
Only thing I could think of would be condition of the struts at that mileage most likely should be changed.
