2007 400h, 46,800, leaking water pump
Hi All,
Took my 400h in for the hybrid inverter module recall and 45k service, and the service dept. just left a message that my water pump is leaking. So- a couple of questions before I call back-
1 I've owned the car since Nov 2006 but it only has 46,800 miles on it- I'm kind of shocked the water pump would fail- any one else had this happen?
2 If I do replace the water pump- should I have them do the timing belt? Esp. if coolant leaked on it?
3 What is a reasonable price to pay?
Thanks
VJ

Took my 2008 Rx 400h in for the recall and was also told my water pump is leaking. I just got the car with 50k miles. The local dealer says it needs to be replaced, but the dealer I bought it from (not a Lexus dealer) says its fine. If it's just a leak, do I push for replacement?
