Default What would be a strong deal for an '07 GS450h?

I think I have narrowed my search to a 2007 GS450h with Nav and ML.

I would only buy one with complete records and probably CPO as well as reasonable miles (not more than 17k/year).

I have searched the forum, looked at all of the book values, searched Ebay and Auto Trader...so I have general idea.

Thought I'd ask here for any collective wisdom about what would be a "good deal" price wise? Really appreciate any input!!

I'm coming from an '06 Audi A6 Sport and several BMW's, etc. This would be my first Lexus!

If im not mistaken, all hybrids come with the Nav and ML.
Just a matter or color and miles.

Should be pretty easy.

I got a great deal on a 2007 450h with 24K miles and every single option including Navi, ML, APSS system, adaptive cruise control, satellite radio, and iPod adapter. I paid $35K at Ebay motors from a highly reputable Texas wholesaler.

My opinion is that buying CPO cars only makes sense once they are out of factory warranty. Any car within warranty can be further protected with a Lexus extended service contract while keeping the total cost WAY below CPO price. A car like I bought but a CPO costs about $39-$42K (I saw a few around that price).

What Modeler said. I also just picked up a used 2007 with every option sans Lexus Link for 36k, fully documented with only 11,000 miles. Love it! It's at the dealer now getting the "service campaigns" as well as having the low dust pads put on.

My only reservation is the APSSS - which is awesome, but it precludes ditching the run flats since the system sits in the spare tire well :/

Options on the 2007 are NAV, ML, APSSS, and Pre-collision/Adaptive Cruise. Although, as Gino said, most are fully optioned.

Not at all. I ditched run flats almost right away. All you need is the emergency tire repair goo and portable pump. I've had portable pump that operates from the cigarette charger for awhile. Only had to buy the green goo. It's a few dollars per can in any automotive store.

Modeler, Grondie, thanks for the numbers...that is exactly what I was looking for! Yeah, if I come across one with APSSS I'll need to drive it and see what I think.

I figure I am shooting for an '07 in the $33-$35k range and consider it a good deal (with the right miles, records, history, etc of course).

Thanks again!

Sgn - LOVE my 450h! I was all set to get a 2007 GS 350, then I drove a 450h and that was it. Love this thing. I got a black/tan 2007 CPO 450h, 32,000 miles with every single option (it came that way) for $33,950. The CPO just gave me peace of mind and to me, it's worth it. It included the 160 point inspection, new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires, some paint work for chips on the hood and bumper, and whatever maintenance it needed. I then added the nano tint and XM, and I bought some 8000K bulbs that I installed myself.

Hopefully that gives you some guidance as to the numbers. Hope you find one soon, you will love it. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Excellent, CoolPop!

Yeah, it's been a tough decision as I really do love the overall tightness and road feel of my past German rides. But the hassles associated with driving one of them long-term just got plain old.

I also won't miss the general arrogance of some of the folks out there as "enthusiasts" in the Audi and BMW worlds...at least where non-german cars are concerned.

I look forward to finding the right car!!

Thanks again.

I just got a great deal on my 07 GS450H as well. $33k wit only 23k miles. Not CPo, but then again, u don't really need it CPO because it is still under full factory warranty (4yr/50k miles). ML/Nav is standard on the 450's. It also came with the adaptive cruise control.

Sgn - the girlfriend has a 2010 Mercedes C and yeah, it is definitely tight, has excellent road feel and is an overall great ride. But I loooooooooooooove my 450h!

Yeah GS 450h values continue to hold very strongly even with higher mileage. I've yet to see one dip below 30k....most dealerships offer them in the mid 30s-40s...independently prices are still in the 30s.

Yeah, that appears to be the range for sure. I am in Denver, so the AWD versions are everywhere...but the 450h is very rare.

I am sure I'll need to go outside of the state. Maybe the NorCal area where there are still a lot of people who live in a money-induced coma from their housing market climbs of the past.

But I am looking everywhere.

About a month ago we picked up a black 450h from a southern cali dealer that has everything except the adaptive cruise. It has a lot of miles, 55k but it came cpo'd and we got it for 31,800 out the door. It had been sitting on the lot for a few weeks as well so they were motivated to move it. We love it though.
