Default What's That Sound?

Our 2010 GX 460 had its two-year 20,000 mile service on Monday and the dealer also did a complete detailing. When we got into our vehicle after it was ready, my wife and I both heard a distinct sound, but one neither of us recognized. Needless to say, we refused to drive off until the sound was isolated and silenced.

After several minutes of us and the service technician listening to all parts of the vehicle the problem was discovered. After detailing the folding third-row seats were not completely folded ... unless they are fully up or completely folded there is a continuous tone, which may be the same tone when pushing the buttons to raise or lower the seats.

Moral of the story ... raise or lower the third-row seats completely as leaving them in an intermediate position will cause the tone to sound continuously.
Regards,

I drove around for two days before I could figure out if the noise was coming from my vehicle and to find the problem. Talk about feeling stupid!
