Ah, I can see the fitment issues you are mentioning.
I personally would find the both acceptable. Up in the driver's seat, that was probably all the further they could comfortably go up without possible interference with the parking brake during use. As for the back, the weird corners will cause issues with being able to create an EXACT mold. I believe 4R doesn't have those little areas, but its an equally difficult area to entirely cover. Heck, the Toyota mat doesn't even bother to cover those areas near the wheel wells.

You pay for quality.
I have the Lexus All-Season mats in my NX and I think they suck. They do not cover enough area, are very thin, and do not cover the driveshaft tunnel through the back seats.
So IMO, you're getting a lot more for $80 more

Weather tech
Bought them for my GX460 front and center rows. They are great at keeping the snow, dirt, water, off the carpets. Did not get the rear since I keep a tarp back there that covers the side walls also when I need to put large items in the rear.
