Default Help finding switched power for radar in overhead console

Guys, Been looking into the overhead console to find switched power for radar detector. I've been probing into reading light socket. Seems like it does have both switched and direct power but have not been able to find a good ground in that area. Will appreciate any help.

If it were me, I'd find a switched power in the fuse box in the kick panel. You're going to want an inline fuse anyways. The ground is the easy part, just run it to a piece of bare metal either above the overhead console or near the fuse box.
If you tap into a constant 12v supply with the key off, such as a map light, the detector will stay on even when the truck is off.

i just added a constant 12v power wire from the battery to a after market fuse block in behind the dash that i run all my accessories off of. its right behind the glove box so if i ever need to access it, its half the procedure of the cabin air filter replacement... anyhow i ran a 6' phone line from there up to my V1. sure its constant power, but if i want if off i just manually switch it off at the detector. having the constant 12v is so much nicer for other things like the 12v outlets, and aux USB ports that are now all constant 12v.

I have a V1 using the Blendmount adapter that suspends it from the rearview mirror. You can use a mirrortap to draw power from the mirror -
Amazon.com: MirrorTap, 1000/2000/3000/4000 Series, Radar Detector, Power Cord With Inline Fuse, RJ11: Automotive Amazon.com: MirrorTap, 1000/2000/3000/4000 Series, Radar Detector, Power Cord With Inline Fuse, RJ11: Automotive

I am drawing power using the SAVVY, running my feed from the mirror, down the left a-pillar.
