Default Rear wheel still spins in one direction with parking brake engaged?

I noticed an increasingly loud noise when my GX 470 is in motion. It isn't tied to engine speed, so I figure it probably has something to do with the wheels.

I jacked up the vehicle and spun each wheel independently in neutral. Front wheels were fine. Rear driver's wheel was fine. Rear passenger's wheel - fine with parking brake disengaged. But with brake engaged, you can spin the wheel backward but not forward.

What gives?

If the parking brake is on, those rear wheels should be locked solid.

Is your GX relatively new to you? chances are good the prior owner drove off with the parking brake partially engaged and wore the lining off.

I had a Chevy truck like that. I could have the parking brake on and back out of the driveway. Start to move forward and they would lock up. Found that the liner had come off one of the shoes on the parking brake and got wedged in the drum.
