Removing 3rd brake light
Hello,
I'm trying to remove my 3rd brake light to remove some crappy tint from the previous owner. Anyone have any insight besides this DIY I came across? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-the-deck.html

Hey there. Quite a bit of stuff needs to come off if you want to get to the third brake lights. It's the same procedure as removing the rear sunshade. The link below Has a pdf download you can refer to.

you don't have to remove the whole brake light. Removing the whole thing is too much work.
I got my tint removed and redone, and I just removed the top half of the brake light. It's held on by claws. Just grip the front and slide toward you.
Stupid lexus design, permanently bonding the base of the brake light to the deck. Why is that raised base even needed...

Awesome! Thanks you so much! I will try this after I get out of work. I do agree that the 3rd brake light is an odd design. They could have placed the sensor somewhere else.
