Trunk lid retracting nylon strap
Anybody know what the nylon retracting strap is? (on the inside left of the trunk lid) Is it supposed to stop the trunk lid from overextending? If so, mine may have stretched or something because it is not stopping the lid. The hinges are. Or, am I completely missing the point of the strap? If it is supposed to stop the lid as it opens, can you tighten it somehow?
Thanks for any help.

No, it looks like all of the power latching mechanism is in the latch portion, the nylon strap has nothing to do with it - just contains lighting wires and camera cables.

That makes sense. A very nice wiring harness for the accessories attached to the lid. I'm glad I didn't start pulling panels trying to tighten the strap before asking. Thank you for the help.
