Default gear shifting not correctly...help

Help...need suggestions. Recently my 06 gs300 has been acting up. It has hard shifts and recently it seems like when it shifts gears it is not grabbing till a higher rpm. What should i do?

Mileage?
Got the Power switch under the armrest active or is it still in ECT mode?
By hard do you mean clunky/thudding rather than smooth engagement?

Hopefully, it's just an electronic glitch and requires resetting the Tranny module!

It has 114k. The power switch is off and at times when it shift yes clunky not smooth

Is resetting the tranny module simple or a dealer issue

i actually experience the same thing. it does it when its cold out. seems to shift at higher rpm than when its warm out.

Could it be from the misfire pistons that they recently had a recall?

This is absolutely normal in the cold weather.

If it reacts to weather you guys may need to do a transmission flush and put new fluids in it.

Don't waste money. The AT is supposed to stay in a lower gear longer and shift up at higher RPMs when the engine is cold. It allowes the engine and the catalytic converter to warm up faster.

He's at 114K miles he should replace transmission fluids
