06 GS430 transmission bouncing when put into gear
Does anyone else have this issue? It's not a big deal, but I'm just trying to figure out if this is the way the transmission is supposed to behave. Whenever I put my car into reverse, or from reverse into drive, it is not a positive firm engagement. Rather, there is a bit of bounce/rocking to it. There's no grinding or clanking, but the transmission doesn't shift crisply into reverse or drive. Once in gear, it's fine, no problems at all. However, when putting it into reverse or drive, there's definitely a sloppiness to it.
Is this normal? Does anyone else have this issue? My car is CPO, so I'm not concerned if it needs to be fixed, but maybe there's nothing wrong with it. Any thoughts?

You really need to drive another car the dealer or another dealer has, so you can assess any difference.
Only that way will you have an idea if yours needs looking at or is perfectly normal.
Unless a shared reference is established, any feedback here on how something feels will always be open to individual interpretation.
Then again, you could test another car of similar vintage/mileage as yours, and it feels different. Is that a sign yours is not right or the other hasn't aged as much as yours over the same timescale?
You'd need to test a couple to see if they all exhibit the same feel, before jumping to any conclusion about your own.
