Trouble installing gs350 rotors and caliper to 06 gs 300 awd
My friends and I just changed the front rotors and calipers to the larger ones on the gs350. We bleed the brakes as well. We put the wheels back on and now the wheels are locked and will not move. The rotors spin when the lugnuts are not screwed in. When the are screwed in, it locks and cannot spin. The car is stuck in place basically. I was told specifically by darrell from sewell lexus that these will work for the gs300. Im puzzled right now.

He has the awd and he bought the 2wd rotors, The 2wd drive has less clearence on the hub then the AWD. If u take off the rotor you will notice marks in the rotor around the hub where it doesn't clear. I had the same issue, and i send the rotors back. The only company that makes slotted and drilled rotors for a AWD is Brakeworld.com disc italia. Other option would be getting blanks from lexus oem.

Well I found out it definetely was the rotors. This auto part store had some OEM AWD gs350 rotors in the factory and i got them shipped to the store this afternoon on the very last shipment, SO LUCKY! If you looked at the RWD and AWD rotors side by side, there is only a few mm of metal that make the difference in the hub and that's pretty much it (so basically it was a clearance issue; RWD had no clearance, therefore no movement). So far everything looks great and the brakes already feel a lot stronger than the stock gs300 awd brakes.
Side notes:
1) There is a squeel atm the moment, but it seems to be due to the manufacturer painting too far onto the face of the rotor, therefore hitting the brakepads, but i am sure this will stop once the paint is stripped from the face of the rotor (so basically it's not a problem)
2) Edit: EDIT: I'm certain now, i looked at the old calipers and they are only 1 large caliper on 1 side, therefore the 06 gs300 calipers are ONLY 1 CALIPER, wow! This was a huge upgrade!
Ill take some pics and post it up in this thread

So HAWK or BRAKE PERFORMANCE.COM
Rotors wont work on a AWD 2006 GS300?
