Steps to take after your Battery has been Disconnected!!!!!
OK, this may sound like a lame subject but until it happens to you and your stuff on the car doesn't work, it will be right on. After the battery is disconnected, you may or may not loose all these things. Radio Memory, Moonroof and window auto function, seat memory setting function, Clock and a few other stuff that fix themselfs. I will break the cures up in groups.
A) Radio Presets.... Pretty simple, tune to station and hold down the preset button till you hear a beep. Preset is then stored to memory.
B) Moonroof operation.... Also simple, Open the moonroof to the fully up position and then close the roof. Then slide the moonroof all the way open and then close it. This teaches the roof where it is and it will then work again.
C) Windows... Your windows may not work from the drivers Door control but will work from each doors button. Open and close each window at the specific door to train the window of its position. Once you go to each door and do this, the drivers door control will once again work for all of them.
D)Memory seat buttons.... Mine acted just like they were dead. What you have to do is re-calibrate the seat position sensors. I was told that when you adjust the seat and it is not correct, you will hear a beep as you move the seat. I did not hear this but my buttons were dead. So, you have to turn on the ignition, car started is preferred to help out the battery, and move the seat all the way forward and hold it in the forward position for a short time, then move the seat all the way back to the far rear position and also hold it in that position for a bit, then tilt the seat all the way forward, hold, all the way back, hold it and then set your preferred position. The buttons should work to set the memory now!
E)Clock... Depends on if you have NAV or not. The manual has the proper instructions for this.
Now, the Manual also says that other things can get lost but I did not see these. They were.....Park Assist ability for distance...Self cures with use. Steering correction/centering, self cures with use. Again I did not see these but the write up on them can be found in the good ol Lexus Owners Manual.
Well I hope this will help a few as I know that I searched high and low and could not find a clear answer for my seat memory functions. Enjoy!!!:

Thank you for the information. It is really helpful. I recently changed the battery for my GS and noticed that I couldn't roll down my right rear window nor use my seat memory functions. I will try it right when I get out of work today!

One more thing
your reverse pan down mirrors.... you to the same thing like windows. pan down 3/4 of the way pan back up. do the same with both mirrors.
good to know if you want them deactivated too...
some ppl don't like it but i think its awesome and helps you not curb your back right wheel.

This info is all in the FAQ thread though considering how many people fail to find it, it's a useful post and hopefully comes up more readily on search.
One note is that I have disconnected my battery tons of times and have never had to do anything to get the seat memory working again another than simply pressing the memory button at the position I want again (it does lose the memory, but no re-calibration of sorts has ever been necessary).

don't forget the NAV
I just replaced my battery. The NAV region will be reset and when selecting a destination won't display correctly. You would need to select your region by going into the MAP DVD menu and select the region in the US you are in.
