Thinking of tinting tail lights, what do you think?

I didn't want to darken my tail lights - but I did want some sort of protection film.... Out of laziness I just bought the lightest pre-cut tinted film on eBay, and I actually turned out to like it quite a bit.
I know I wouldn't like the black-out lights, but it's all preference.
It looks good for the gray paint, but does somewhat disappear in direct sunlight.

Whoops - I unintentionally fibbed - as I looked into it, I bought the head / tail light films off of amazon, from Lamin-X protectors:
The tail light films were fairly easy to install - just use a lot of water with a couple drops of baby shampoo or dawn, position and use a rubber squeegee to evacuate the water out - look at some videos on youtube.
I also did the front lights, bumper and hood, it looks pretty amateur (smudgy/ripply) up close, but from a few feet away it's fine.
