Default Anyone have a Rattle on back deck near speakers...............

I have about 2,000 miles on my GS350. I have been paying attention to any rattles based on posts from this forum. I started noticing a noise coming from the rear deck where the speakers are located when I ran over a bump.

It's more of a sharp click noise coming from the speaker area. It's like something is loose and clicking against a metal part of the speaker or a frame on the back deck.

Has anyone noticed a similar noise?

Thankfully no front dash rattles yet

please make sure your small passage door to the trunk is fully latched, that can rattle if it is not fully engaged

Yup, I checked that. Opened and Closed it and made sure when it was closed that it still was not moving around.

I had this squaek/click/rattle...

It is the clips on the back window rubbing against the body of the car, there is a TSIB for it.

I took my car in, they took out the window, cut off the clips and it is gone.

Thanks for the info!

Would you happen to know the TSIB number for it? This way I can just take it in and say that is what is happening. Or better yet do you have a link for the TSIB on-line?

If you have this done, remind them not to put a crease in the liner. From my understanding it is very easy to do and can not be fixed without replacing the liner. Who knows how only you would have to wait for that part.

Not sure if this is same problem I had on my 07 ES350, but sounds similar. For more detail and diagnosis and remedy see ES350 forum post title in part "Structural Integrity problems....". Hope this helps.
