Default Courtesy Light

1998 GS300 Series 2.

It would appear that my courtesy light - the central front one that comes on when you open a door - has failed.

The handbook does not cover replacemnt of this bulb. Anyone know how to get the cover off and what type of bulb it is?

You just gently pry the clear plastic down. It's held on by 4 clips along the long side of the plastic. It snaps back into place when you re-install the clear cover.

Guys,

Thanks for coming back and helping.

All done and festoon bulb replaced.

Had the car only 17 years and already a bulb needs replacing. Guess things aren't made the way they used to be.
