Immobilizer or bad key

Got the car back today from the dealer. Car is up and runnung. They didn't do any diagnostic on the car. Since I was coming in for the lost key program. New ecu, two new keys and labor and programming $547...
Service advisor asked me what the hell happened to my ecu?? It looked like someone kicked it. I never took it out so I'm not sure. I always find the strangest things wrong with my used cars.
Im still wondering was it just a bad aftermarket key?? Bad ecu?? Or both. My uncut aftermarket eBay keys look nothing like the OEM keys. There a little longer and thinner. Might return and get some better quality backups
