I like most GS owners, I love my headlight setup but i crave more optical illumination, I have gather tons of different information and a lot of independent research. I believe in my opinion that the M45/35 projectors mounted with a tax clear lens will give me my desired output I'm going for. Don't get me wrong Q45 gatlings are great, just not the output i want. LS430/460 seem to beat out just about everything i compared them to, but i love the way the M45 add a bit more character to the housing.

Here is a rundown of the materials and the parts I'm using
2008 projectors from Infiniti M45/35
2005 clear lens's from Acura TSX (TheRetrofitSource)
2005 OEM HID headlights from Lexus GS300
Black chrome tint spray/film
Adhesive for headlight to be reapplied
Mounting brackets for new projectors (luxurymods M45/35 brackets)
Mounting Hardware for new projectors 6-32 2" long at least (the thread pinch on the projectors are M4 but 6-32 is a smaller diameter and slides through the hole loctite recommended)
D2S bulbs in OEM 4300k color temp
OEM Hid ballast and igniter form Toyota/Lexus 2005
Alcohol and water solution clean everything
Use gloves to prevent finger prints
flat head and cross point screw driver
dremel tool or equivalent for trimming

Here is a break down of disassembly of the OEM HID headlight housing. Take off all screws, plugs and etc because you do not want this exposed when this is place in oven. OEM ballast denso work pretty good.
Set the oven to 250 degrees place head light on a glass dish or equivalent, this will allow you to place the headlight in the oven without melting any of the plastic. Once you have pried open the headlights make sure you unscrew all the housing screws from the backside of the headlight. (there should be 3)
Don't for get there is one screw that holds the chrome bezel in place, its between the high and low beam rings. You just want to get the headlight glue warm enough so it can be pulled apart.
fully dissambled and ready to do some modifying. A mock up of how the projector will look in the housing, I have an OEM D2R bowls if some one needs them. I am going to trim the inner corner of the housing so the projector sits flush.
Since my car didn't original come with HIDs from the factory i had to fabricate a war to power them up using my existing wiring harness, I had spare 9006 plugs from an old aftermarket HID kit. I spliced into the existing plug and ran the positive with the positive and negative with the negative with out cutting off the original plug. I blocked it and taped it off.
Since I wasn't able to extract the Ballast before putting the lights in the oven, after I was able to take them off i connected them to my headlight to make sure they were getting proper continuity and operating as design. I just like to see what the projectors look like lit up!
took apart the projector housing and wiped down with alcohol and watch solution, these are the screws i used to mount them to the bracket. S/O to luxurymods.com for the brackets. Its a pretty straight setup when mounting the brackets.
Here are the adjusting clips in the stock bowls, best war to get this out is a flathead screw driver. I would suggest to install the holding clip into the bracket as you remove them from the OEM bowls.
Once you have installed all the clips match them up to the back side of the projector. There are 4 mounting points i suggest use at least 3 of them.
As the studs protrude add the washers to hold the plate/bracket at a level surface (you can use the leveling indicator from the bowl to insure its mounted even. Do this with the projector lens off and on a flat level surface.
Here are some different angles of the brackets mounted to the projectors, The mounting pivot arm will need to be trimmed off because you will not be able to get the project to fit in the housing. I really like these projectors but I don't like the fresnel lenses definitely recommend the clear tax swap. This is the part of the projector that comes out from the bottom it was designed to move in the direction the wheel turned on M45/35 with adaptive headlights. If you have committed to doing the retrofit on you GS you will no longer need them. They mount up pretty well these brackets are very firm and sturdy. I'm at some what of a stopping point until i get my TSX clear lenses from theretrofitsource.com tomorrow i will go ahead and black chrome my reflective housing until then....
Originally I was considering getting new ballast, igniters and amp set from them but I lucked up with some oem hids for a steal and they had it all. Plus it seemed more cost effective to keep the Denso they bolt right up on the bottom for the stock look!
