Weird noise from center dash vents
So I'm trying to figure out why this keeps happening and how I can fix this. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks.
Basically in the center vents of the dash where the clock is...I keep hearing a mechanical noise like there's a mechanism that is constantly engaging and disengaging automatically to allow air flow and/or cabin temp to be adjusted. Sometimes it will go on constantly and sometimes it will stop for a few minutes. Anyone know what I am talking about? Kinda hard to explain sorry.

The typical response will be that your servo motors are going out. However, without more detail it is hard to tell what exactly is causing them to keep going bonkers.
Does the fresh air/recirculate light change while the mechanical/motor noise is coming from the vents? That would indicate there is some sort of glitch possibly in the servo controls or the computer that controls the "Auto" vent recirc/fresh setting.
It is also entirely possibly that your servo motors are going bad and are constantly engaging trying to change modes and failing to do so, which causes them to keep going.
The only other noise I can think of that happens in my case is something that sounds like it's coming from the firewall behind the steering wheel area, but that is more of a random motor sound that ends in a soft 'clunk' and happens from time to time independent of the air vents/fan or my brakes (but I'm going off topic here).
