back in a sedan
Whats up guys, my names Paulo, 19 years old, I am picking up a GS400 this weekend up in riverside, and just wanted to say hi, you guys will be seeing me more often up here, I mainly spend most of my time in the 1st gen SC Forums well since I owned one, that got totalled now so I'm taking this opportunity and making my way back into a sedan, I previously owned a 2011 scion xb slammed on merc alphards, a 93 LS4, and a slammed 93 SC4, and now a 98 GS4, I was about to jump on a 99 SC400 for 4500 but then my friend pointed me towards a GS4, Same motor and transmission, main reason I wanted a 99. Well i decided to hop on inland empire craigslist and found a 98 for 4k, 186k black on black, its not the best of shape but also not the worst, and for the price i think im getting a decent deal. I know you guys may think whats a 19 year old doing with 4 cars already, well, idk but ill tell you what, I was blessed that my parents let me use the family car and let me mod it (not really) but i didn't like telling people that it wasnt mine so i sold the wheels let my sister drive the xb and put that towards an LS400. I assure you, I work hard for what I want, although it takes me longer I make it happen. well pics of past whips now:

I chose to stay with a 400 again because I don't have the funds for a 2jz/1jz build and I am more than happy with my 1uz's, I also have knowledge on working on the 1uz's so thats another reason.
and soon to be new ride, we worked out a deal by phone earlier this evening so ill be picking it up this weekend
plans with left over insurance money:
Stance coils or PBM
TTE Rep lip, I don't want to mess up a legit one,
and save the rest towards wheels and college, I still pay for college so most of my wheel money goes towards that :P
ill just rock it like this for now, I can live with it.
few questions though are can the GS handle being slammed? My SC and XB the oilpan was protected by the front cross member so I just smashed my way over road reflectors when i changed lanes without worrying too much.

yeah a friend of mine stated that and umm when the suspension compresses up does it go up and in like my SC400 does or will it go up and straight like my xb with a solid rear beam? should i worry about the axle binding at all?
well then, $40 for balljoints, tybg, when a ball joint went out for the SC's we need all new control arms Dx

You know me Glenn! I won't! I was about to buy some wheels and my motor mounts for the sc until the accident happened -_-' I don't plan to get rid of this car ever, haha, the sc well, the car was crap in the first place haha,
Yeah maintenance is already a given!!! like I said these ball joints are only 40 bucks I might as well get a spare set!

So the black GS400 wasn't all too great, body and interior looked nice but you can feel all sorts off mechanical problems on it, also, window was cracked all the way around, radiator support was destroyed, no bumper support bar, non OEM replacement bumper, it fit bad, hood is bent, plastic pieces in the engine bay are missing and cracked, fenders don't line up perfectly, hoods been cheaply repainted and lowering springs were improperly Installed because one side of the car sat higher.

Didn't leave empty handed though, coming back for this next week, same price, $3500, and much better condition, rebuilt alt, ps pump, new waterpump and timing belt etc done last week, receipts to prove it, brand new battery receipt also, has cold AC, stock stereo, no rips on the seats, I can feel vibration though so I'll be doing motor mounts and tranny mount, and bushings and grab an alignment
