Starting Issue
Hello CL, Its been a bit more than a month i have been having this issue. When i go to start my car, i get a click noise.. and its gotten worse to this day... i've checked my battery and connections and they are all good. Now is there something else i can check before replacing the starter? for example fuses? or is this just the starter, and it needs to be replaced? thanks
more information would be gladly appreciated

A few questions:
Does it start after it clicks?
Does jumping the car do anything?
90% chance it would be the starter motor from what you're saying
You could always goto autozone for a free battery load test and have them check the alternator for free but if jumping the car does nothin, it would be your starter. You could always try the old school "hit the starter with a screw driver" and see of that gets it goin. Good luck

i have a 98 gs400 and when i first got mine i had the same problem, the starter contacts is what it is, its a common issue on the 400's. the starter is located under the intake manifold, best bet id to order the contacts off of lexus/toyota and do the job yourself its not too bad just cramped room around it. i think theres a diy somewhere on here just search.
