Painter tape and Long Trips
Lately I've been noticing some small rock chips on my front bumper.
I sometimes take drives from SD to IE area.
Would you all tape your bumper for that trip? Is it worth the hassle?
How long does it take to tape up the bumper and any prep needed?

Probably be easier to use a bumper bra. Take it on or off as necessary for long trips.

It a spray on bra that's said to last a year. You can peel it off after the trip.
I think the kit is only $45.

I would get a bra and try to fit it with the lip. The taping would take forever, probably not last. Never tried that spray on bra though. Looks interesting

If your car is properly polished and waxed, painters tape will not stick to it.
You can get temporary surface protection tape from multiple sources (this stuff
http://www.racerstape.com/heli.html ). That's probably a better bet.
That spray on/peel off stuff is pretty cool. Haven't ever seen it before.
