Does anyone know what color wires are going to the subwoofer/amp?
So, I used an LOC hooked straight up to the subwoofer (ML nav system). The sub was busted so I took it out and used the feed to the LOC.
So its giving me an issue.....the new subwoofer (12 inch and amp). It cuts in and out. So I wanted to use the feed before the ML amp.
Wondering if anyone knows off hand which color combo wire I am looking for before the amp?
thanks

That is what I was using, but it's cutting in and out.....I bought a new LOC thinking that was the issue. So now I am being told by some stereo installers that the ML amp could be sending too much through the system.....and just get signal behind the ML amp

Hook the loc to the plug going into the factory amp, cut the 2 subwoofer wires from that plug and connect them to your LOC. Idk off hand which 2 wires it will be but you can google the factory amp wire diagram for the car. I did that to hook up my aftermarket stereo system in my gs.

So. After going pre-amp wiring it to the left front speaker in the trunk. Still no dice.
So, my buddy that used to do installs took the subwoofer and its continuity and it was off the charts would bounce from 0 to 500.....So the subwoofer was blown.
Took the sub out of the box (MTX box MTX sub enclosure). Come to find out the store I bought it from took out the stock sub that came with it and put a cheaper one in. 250 watt rms vs 400 watt rms. The box sticker said 400rms sticker on sub said 200 watt rms......my amp is 500 watt rms at 4ohm (sub is 4 ohm).
So, took it back, they swapped it out right away and gave me the money back of the current sale price. While I give them props for that, pretty pissed I could have very well bought something that I did not truly pay for.
Pretty pissed.....but all is working.
Hope that makes sense!
