Headlights have moisture! What options do I have?
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site and tried to look up old threads on what to do before posting this. I just purchased a 2002 GS430 (with stock HID's )and love it. It does however have moisture in the headlights/daytime running lights and thought it would be an easy fix when searching on ebay and finding out I can get both headlight sides for around $240 or less. After looking more carefully I noticed that they were not compatible with my HID's I have. Dealership stated $1219.00 per side for all parts. Is there an easier and much cheaper way to replace them? Aftermarket ones? Could I get around my HID and put normal ones in as offered on ebay with the HALO features?
Any feedback would be much appreciated and thank you for looking at this.

On ebay it's ebay quality headlights, and the headlights are not O.E. it'll turn yellow if u do that. What you COULD do is take out the headlights, clean up the inside and put it back together.

Re seal them with caulk, the heat from the lights will eventually dissipate the moisture i was told.... Or just bake em, open them, wipe out the moisture, re seal, its not that bad of a job, but it would DEF be cheaper, u dont want the ebay crap, your have the same problem in like 6 months id imagine, plus the quality isnt the greatest..., tell the dealer no way

Remove the headlights, get rid of the moisture with a hairdryer, wait 24 hours to ensure moisture is completely gone, seal with an all-weather silicone. Before you seal the lights, you need to see how much residue is left on the inside of the lens. This will dictate if you proceed with the sealing or if the headlights need to be opened up and wiped clean.

You can get Brand New OEM ones for $500 a pair both on ebay and at Sewell Lexus (register with your Club Lexus screen name) and get a fat hook up.
