ebay headlights
My car got hit a few weeks back and the other drivers insurance is paying for it. my driver fender needs to be replaced and the headlights will be replaced.
I was looking to get the ebay headlights but does anyone know how good the output is?
also where can i get new covers for my existing headlights i think i want to get them blacked out.
i got HIDs in my halogens and the turned yellow does the clear bra help with the yellowing?

I got into an accident recently too and bought headlights off eBay. The output doesn't seem as good as OEM but you'll need some of the wiring from your old headlights, specifically the turn signal and parking light wires. Here's the ones I bought. It's worth it for under $400, no complains from me.

I agree with what he's saying. There shouldn't be a limit to how much they give you to fix your car, it's the insurance of the person that is at fault that will have to pay any amount to fix the as close to how it was when you had it before the accident quality wise. They can probably deny you if you try getting more than what you had, but getting replacement headlights from a lexus dealer shouldn't be a problem.

Take it to a body shop and get an estimate for repairing it back to the way it was. Then find out how much extra it would be to get the 2011 headlights and just pay the difference. Just don't upgrade to the 2011's and stick the other guy with the bill, karma goes around! lol

yea i have the money already i have money to get the headlights but i was seeing if i could keep some of it... but im going to end up getting them from sewell. its still better than where the insurance was going to order the lights from. So i still end up on top.

??? Why would the output be different if it's just aesthetic and not function. If your putting your old HID bulbs back in wouldn't the output be the same no matter if the headlights are from eBay.

No I understand that part of it, of course it's not used with oem quality but my question is,,, why would the output be different because that is what he is saying. The bulbs used whether it's regular or HID is the same because we just merely put it back on to the headlight that should not change any output at all meaning how bright it is whether it be oem headlight or aftermarket that's what I'm trying to get an answer on.
