Pics of my 2003 sport design with new rims and drop
Got the gs300 100% stock two weeks ago and couldn't stand the oem rims or ride height. I daily drive the car all over the place so I didn't want to throw serious money into it. I bought some of the nicest looking knock off wheels I could find and Tanabe DF210 springs. Yes I know the cons to knock off wheels but i've had success with them in the past so i'll try my luck with these.
Wheels are 18x10 in rear +25 and 18x8.5 in front +30
Took some new pics with springs settled and rear valence painted black.
Had to shave rear fenders for wheels to fit with drop , even on springs

Wheels are xxr 521 in hyper silver/polished.
ntwrk - sorry I didn't get back to you in PM, i'm bad at that. This guy in Cary I found on a local car forum did the work for me, he is a mechanical engineer but has a nice shop in his backyard with a lift and all tools. If you need any work done i'll PM u his number, he gives REALLY good prices and does great work.
Thanks, theres about 2 finger gap in the rear now and one finger in front.

how's the ride though?
less floaty on the freeway? tighter through turns? smoother... quieter??
please let me know, thanks.
I was thinking of switching to either yours tanabe nf or tien s-tech.
just wondering your evaluation. Thanks.

Haha , maybe because I just sold my m3 it has something to do with my rim selection or who knows
The ride is very similar to stock, the springs are soft. I have them on the oem sport design shocks which I believe are l-tuned. The car is less floaty on the highway mostly due to the fact that it's lower and it has larger wheels, and it obviously will handle better being lower and stiffer but that's not my goal with lowering springs or a gs. I have not driven it that much but overall there's no major difference in ride quality.
