yet another horn question-but not the usual
ok when I got my gs430 the guy told me the horn didnt work, so I did some looking around. Well come to find out the horns were actually missing. So I got a horn and hooked it up but nothing. But if I hold the panic button i got the horn to work. So I am thinking that the fuse and relay are obviously good but maybe the horn contact on the steering wheel is bad or maybe the clock spring? Also should i hear a beep when i lock the car? Obviously I havent had a horn to know. Thanks

is it the little black box bolted to the front core support? I took my airbag off today and there are 2 wires cut but nothing to connect them to, but the one going to the horn is still good. Is there a way to test the box the does the beeping? Does anyone know the exact relay for the horn, I have seen the diagram but it is not clear.

ok-well i know i dont have the alarm horn anymore-when they did the air bag setup and cut my inner fenders out they disconnected it and then lost it, but if i hit the panic button-the little black box to the upper right of the hood latch it beeps. Can some one tell me which exact relay is for the horn? I have looked at the other diagrams but it is not clear enough.

Relay for the main horns(steering wheel ones) is in the small relay box next to the brake booster. There will be two relays for ABS, one for another solenoid, and the smallest of the 4 relays in that box is the main horn relay.
Try this to troubleshoot:
Check that the horn fuse is still good. Replace if it's bad. If it's good, press the horn on the steering wheel. See if you hear the relay clicking, it is fairly loud so you should be able to hear it easily. The horn is always active no matter what, so you don't even need your key in the ignition to do this test. If the relay clicks, then you have a missing link somewhere between the relay and horns. If it doesn't click then theres something wrong with the harness or the horn switch.
Report back to me with your findings if you need more help.

I will thanks Jeff, if it doesnt work I think I will just run new wires from the the contact points to the relay or just run a monetary switch because I'm pretty sure that Lexus wants a arma nd a leg to fix it.
When i took my air bag off the other day there were 2 wires that were cut but the other half is gone, if i could get someone to take a picture of there steering wheel with the air bag off that would be great. My steering stereo controls dont work, so maybe these wires have to do with that? Thanks alot everyone

Ok JeffTsai-have power at the horn fuse but relay not clicking and no power to any cables in steering wheel, is there a way to test the harness or clock spring? Or any suggestions?
