Opening fog light lense?
Whats up fellas,
So my fog lights look pretty nasty on the inside, its dirty and has like a brown rust. Is there anyway I can open up the glass lenses to clean them out? I took out the fog lights to check it out but didn't really look like it can. Let me know if its even possible. Thanks!!

No the foglights don't use temperature sensitive glue like the headlights. It's a high strength silicone adhesive. You have to heat it for a while in the oven and then pry it apart. The adhesive will lose its grip a little once heated up but it will not become gooey and tacky like the headlight adhesive...it stays solid. To remove it will require quite a bit of force too I must add. When you put it all back together, you need to use silicone adhesive to reglue it back.

Sounds like I'm in for some work here but it has to be done. They look so dirty and brown compared to the clear side markers I just put on. How long exactly in the oven and at what temp? thanks in advance
