wiring diagram help
Good day all, I was hoping some one with experience with wiring diagrams could help me out.
Im swapping out my standard 99 GS400 radio for a standard 2003 GS430 radio. I have some questions on the diagram that I have highlited in red.
R3 is the plug type and the # next to (B) is the pin #.
!) what does it mean when you have 20(B) over 2(A) as highlighted in red?
2) with the (*5) Except Taiwan and (*6)Taiwan do you still use that pin or remove it? Theres a section at TX+, BUS+ TX-,BUS-, not sure if the wiring is to be connected or not.
Im sure I'll have a few more questions as I try to figure this out.
Thanks!

Are the letter designations referring to wiring busses? I notice that....
there are multiple designations (A, B, C, D...etc). These might be pin locations on bus A, pin locations on bus B, etc. You can probably verify this by looking at how the existing radio is connected. If this is the case, 20B and 2A may share a connection.
Hope this helps!

Here is a picture of the plugs and how I see the wiring to each pin go. Can someone please confirm what I have done is correct?
The one problem Im having is on pin 3(B) on the 99 GS400 picture I can not see where to run that wire to the 430 diagram.
My first time trying this so before I go pluging in wires need some professional help.

A few questions from the attached drawing:
See #1 - where does that lead to?
See #2 - where does that lead to?
See #3 - Where does the ground lead to?
See #4 - Can the ACC here connect at #1?
What does it mean when you have this: Example
Mute
7(B)
8(B)
Do the wires from pin 7(B) and 8(B) get spliced together than connected to 4(A)mute?
Thanks

#2 is B+, so that connects direct to the battery. Same as pin4 of the 99 amp.
#3 is the ground (battery negative, or chassis) lead. Same as pin 7 of the 99 amp.
Mute 7(B) 8(B). Remember there are two sets of pinouts, one for TW, the other for everywhere else. You use “7(B)” and ignore the other, as if it was not on the diagram at all. This is true for all these “double pin” cases. Connect 7(B) to 4(A).
By the way, I am not guaranteeing your transplant will work—I’m just helping you understand the diagrams. I hope…

Here is what I have come up with on the pin connection:
11(B) connects to 12(A) disregard 1(A)
1(B) connects to 4(C) disregard 4(A)
7(B) connects to 4(A) disregard 8(B)
5(B) connects to 10(A) disregard 10(B)
15(B) connects to 9(A) disregard 9(B)
19(B) connects to 7(A) disregard 6(B)
8(B) connects to 1(A) disregard 1(B)
18(B) connects to 6(A) disregard 5(B)
20(B) connects to 7(C) disregard 2(A)
How does this look?
Thanks for the help, very much appreciated.

And the 11B connects to both 1A and 3B.
These new connections are all wrong. The 'disregards' are the right ones.
Assuming he is leaving the car’s original radio harness connectors in place, and has found direct mates for them, then the wiring task is all about making an adapter that translates the 99 radio to the 2003 radio. To do that, connect the wires in the “1999 radio” column to the wires in the “2003 radio” column.
What is freaky, is that the TW pinouts for the 2003 radio exactly matches the 99 radio pinouts. It means the 2003 radio would directly plug in to the TW version of the 99 GS. Somehow the TW version was using the new pinouts ahead of the EX-TW version.
