gs430 Mods- SRT Intake and Greddy EVO2 exhaust ..WOW
I want to start off by thanking everyone on Club Lexus for posting pretty much any and every info that one can ask for in terms of no only performance, but anything that lies within! You guys are amazing. I had so much information and research done just through CL that i didnt have to go look for info anywhere else..
being a new member and a new 01 gs430 owner, its definitely a PLUS
With that being said, i was at the SRT facility this Saturday and it was just perfect! I read so many great things about Mo (CEO of SRT), but to be honest, they did not do justice! He is just an amazing person! Not only was he more than hospitable, he showed me around town while i was getting the exhaust and intake done, and give me the history on the company etc. He was also kind enough to explain and answer any of the questions that i had! He also threw in one free DYNO Just an amzing guy and i wanted to point that out here while im explaining my recent mods!
Ok now to the good stuff. I opted to buy the new Greddy EVO 2 exhaust (full stainless steel system) and i must say, worth every penny! I was scared the big openings of the exhaust would sound menacing and destroy the peace and comfort of the lex, but surprisingly the opposite was true! under 'normal' driving, theyre pretty quiet, but under WOT, wow, its like a totally different beast! Im surprised i was living without them for the 3 weeks that i have had the car for! And the Intake makes a worldddd of a difference!
I had read somewhere where people were wondering if the exhaust alone adds any real horsepower! Well keeping that in mind, i asked Mo to dyno with just the exhaust, and lo and behold, the greddy evo2 delivered 2-3 RWHP! And then ofcourse aftter the intake was installed the ECU upgraded , it was totally different story! MAN! with both the mods, i kid you not, its like driving a totally different car! I would highllyyyy recommend anyone thinking about modding their car *new* to go for the exhaust and intake setup! Its a MUST have! Now my car sounds like a mustang on steroids!
I've attached a couple of pics, and i also have a couple of videos of the dyno and some 'burnouts' if the mods could help me post those (videos). Guranteed to please, courteousy of MO at the SRT facility

Sorry lets try that again
Again- Mods if its ok, i have a video of the 'after' installation which im sure you guys wont mind seeing. Please let me know if you can host the file somehow.
Let me know what you guys think so far.
Next Mods alerady in the works :
1. Wheels- Axis Mod Se7ven 285/30/20 Rear 245/30/20 Font . I know some say Axis isnt all that great of a wheel but with a 4 inch lip in the rear and 3 inch in the front, i just couldnt resist.
2. Big Brake Kit * stoptech 13inch brake system* in the front and Rear slotted rotors with AXXIS Ultimate Brake Pads.
3. TRD rear and Front Sway Bar Kit with TRD Suspension Brace.
4. B+G lowering springs ( about 1.6 inches or so both front and rear). I know i know, should do the Tein Coilovers, but honestly, i just bought the car 3 weeks ago and have already spent over 6k But Definitely a mod that i will get in a month or 2. The reason i wanted to get the springs atleast was so that the car would loose the 'suv' look as most say !
Once again, i want to thank everyone at CL for helping me answer any questions i had, and emptying my wallet out so quickly!

gs430 guy-
I know exactly what you mean, but trust me, if the mods can somehow put up a video i did after the install, i assure you, burning rubber was not even a problem!
Im definitely going to get the TC and LSD as soon as i can convince my credit card company to increase my credit limit

Luv,
Not sure how big the video file is... if it's a clip from your digital camera you might be able to load it right into the gallery. If its bigger than that we don't have a place to host videos set up right now.
