Real-time Traffic Woes on 4GS Nav
I recall seeing a post from a bit ago regarding how useless the real time traffic info is on the 4GS. I thought I could live with it being off a bit but after sitting in traffic for 82 minutes with its inability to route a detour, I am done.
Was there ever a fix? Do I need a software update of sorts?

I have a 2015 GS, and the traffic info is as useless as ever. The one time I used it, it thought there was traffic on the freeway and rerouted me down a street where I hit every red light. I was very upset when I checked google maps halfway through and realized there was no traffic. I'm using waze most of the time now.

My Acura used Sirus/XM and it seemed to have gone downhill over the last couple of years. I like the HD traffic on my 2015 much better. It shows traffic speeds on roads that XM didn't (like toll roads). I wonder if the quality of traffic from HD radio varies depending on the area.
I think it is an improvement from my previous car, but I too questioned when it re routed me from the tollway to some side streets! I really like that HD traffic is free, and suspect it will get better with time. It is still pretty new.
