Default Tumbleweed in California does NOT make me a happy 4GS owner

I drove up to San Fran a couple of days ago from LA and on the way up (while driving through the Grapevine), a HUGE tumbleweed blows across the freeway straight into the side of my car. It basically hit the driver's side of the front windshield and the driver's door and all the way down the left side.

Obviously, the damn thing left a hell of a lot of surface scratches all the way down my car. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get buff out the scratches or if the dealership will help me with it (the car has less than 5K miles on it). I was going to pick up some turtle wax tomorrow and see if that will work. Any other ideas would be helpful.

With scratches this deep its probably gonna need to be polished and then waxed.

I'd take it to an reputable detailer.

Tumbleweed never makes anyone happy. I've seen a tumbleweed as big as a truck! and somebody already hit the damn thing.

U can try Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 to buff it out for the least amount of money, but if the scratches are deep enough and u lost some paint, it can't be fixed without repainting.

These saws would come in handy for those tumbleweeds.

Photos of the damage will help us in giving you proper advice/help. I did autobody for years and detailed for years...but it is hard to give you any worthy advice without pictures.

I was just on the pass before the 101 going up northeast last week and a car I'm assuming lost control and hit the center divider and was stranded in the fast lane, long story short the frs in front of me did not even brake and just swerved which caught me off guard. My fsport was in sport+ and handled it like a champ. Coming from an isf and eevo x in the past I have full confidence in this car. And I'm making that long trip back down today too lol

The Sport + mode in this car alone is enough to get me to switch from my Premium GS in after just 5 months into the lease.

I had it in eco mode at the time and it still handled pretty well, but definitely felt better in sport+. Unfortunately, sport+ wouldn't have been enough for me to avoid hitting the damn thing.

If they're just surface scratches, you will need to polish it. Just covering them up with wax won't do anything. If they're deep scratches (your fingernail catches) then you may be looking at a re-spray. Take it to a professional detailer. DO NOT take it to the dealer to correct.
