Question about auto door lock
I RTFM and did not find it anything about auto locking. I am unsure if it was one of the many other cars I test drove but I thought this car would auto lock when you walk away from it without having to touch the sensor on the door handle. Have I overlooked the setting for this?
Thanks

Nope, not an option. Only auto lock function is when you unlock the car and not open any doors the car will re-lock itself after a given amount of time (most likely 30 secs).

I don't see it on the Carista app either.

The car doesn't auto lock or unlock by itself, it unlocks by grabbing the door handles and u have to lock it manually by tapping the ridges on the door handle or by pressing the remote.
However, it does auto lock if u unlock and don't open any doors.
Isn't that how it works? Cause mine is like that... Is mine defective?!

Correct, there's no option to lock automatically when you walk away. I guess they did it to prevent you from locking your kids inside accidentally or something.
The only setting that can be turned on or off (incl. with Carista) is whether to re-lock the doors if they were already locked, then you unlocked them, but didn't open a door or trunk within a certain timeout. That way the car knows there's no one inside the car, so it's safe to re-lock.
And of course the other (unrelated) auto-lock setting is for whether or not to lock when the car starts moving or is put in gear. But that's a different use case.

When approaching with a key fob, but not touching, a locked car will turn on its "puddle lamps" on the bottom of the rearview mirrors. Does not unlock unless you reach through a dorr handle.
