Plasti Dipped front bumper
So I decided to plasti dip my front bumper, chrome surround and my rear emblems. The prep took the most time (of course) but it turned out pretty good.
Has anyone else done this?
after the first coat.
almost done.
finished product!

Love the results but would look better without front license plate cover. Thats why I will never live in a state that requires one. If my state ever decide to require one I would be moving away.

the prep took about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. the actual painting process took about 20 minutes. I put on about 7 or so coats.

Did mine about a year ago, and still looking good considering it's seen a lot of road rash. I will be respraying soon. I sprayed completely all around the opening instead of just the center horizontal section.

just because the state doesn't requires it doesn't mean you need to. you'll only get caught if you get pulled over anyway and it depends on the cop, some don't even realize it. Don't be afraid to break the rules is what I'm trying to say. The ticket is like 30 bucks and its a fix it ticket too, not much lol

Before anyone decides to roll with no front plate in a state that requires one, PLEASE do the research for your state and make sure you're okay with the ramifications if/when you are caught.

I thought about doing the whole opening too, but decided to just do the bumper for now. But after looking at it, I think I will do the rest of the opening when I have some more time.
