Radio Reset Code
Anyone know the radio reset code because I need to clear the previous owners code before I put a new battery in or else the radio will be locked. I have tried to guess some obvious codes a few times but I only have 3 more tries before it locks me out.
Thanks

where's my owners manual...
ah here it is. when you disc. the battery it will say ACC on the screen.
so hold down 1, and 6 at the same time, then press the volume **** in for power. it should now say SEC.
now press the 1 button and while holding it down press the "tune seek" button 'Up" then this should appear - - -
then enter the code 420. to enter the first digit press the "1" four times. to enter the 2nd digit press "2" two times. Then press "3" and make it go to zero.
after your code is entered press and hold the "scan" button until SEC appears. good luck
if this doesn't work, take it to your dealer and give them your VIN number and they should be able to reset it

I did all that already. The code 420 is only an example they use. It is not a reset code. Someone has got to know a way to reset it. Oh well, I hate going to the damn dealer!!!

The dealer has the list of master codes. And they are 6 digit, not 3, the master code that is.. They can do a master reset and get rid of the previouse code for you. Should be done free of charge. FYI, the radio has to be locked out for the master codes work anyway.
or
PM me your fax number. I'll fax you a copy of the procedure with your master code. Remember, you must first keep entering the wrong codes until the radio is locked out. Then use the procedure I'll send you to unlock and erase the previouse code. I also need to know if you have CD or not.

have just bought my first Lexus GS 300 year 2000 and radio displays HELP on screen. Nobody would help exempt my local toyota dealer who i was reluctant to seek out regarding the costs involved.
With nowhere else to go i went in an told them my problem, young lady from spare parts noted the number P2722 on the cassette player lid and identified it as a Pioneer system.
Leave it with me see said and next day gave me a code 450928 to try, bingo all good unlocked and working.
i asked if there was a charge for this and she smiled and said "no worries, happy to help you"
Key to it was in the setting to press Tune button and 1 for the first three digits and Track 1 for the last three digits and then Scan for 3 seconds, radio shuts off, push on button and radio is working.
( Also noticed before first 3 digits there is a small pointing up pyramid icon, for the second 3 digits when you press Track and 1 this now shows inverted for the last 3 digits )
