New Stereo with Back Up Camera Installation HELP!
Hi,
I just bought a 9.3" Dual Din for my 94 GS300. It has input for backup camera, Navi,Siris, TV and so on...
I'm also about to buy a backup camera, but trying to figure out the right place to install it. There are several cameras that bolt up to the license plate. There are also other cameras that can be installed like a Keyhole.
I'm not afraid of doing handy work, but I don't know where the best location is for it. Also, if it is installed on the license plate, how can I get the wiring into the trunk.
If you've done this I need lots of TIPS!
Thanks!
Another thing... I wouldn't want to install a camera that is easy to be stolen.. any tips to prevent that?

I would just get the license plate style and use dome sort of locking bolt/nut combo then run the wires up through the light which then goes into the trunk area if I remember right. I just installed a similar setup minus the camera which I plan to do later. I thought about it and that's how I'll do mine. If you mount it high on the plate it'll be mostly hidden anyway under the bumper lip.
