Damage - Driver' Side REAR Inner Wheel Liner - Help??
Hi all,
I experienced my first major boo-boo while driving back home from a road trip Still upset over it, even though it's relatively minor. I'm hoping that I can use your advice and fix it myself rather than take it to a shop (especially the dealership) to get ripped off.
What happened:
It was night time and there was about a half of a flat tire piece on a major highway. I was driving in the fastest lane, doing about 75 mph. I didn't see this debris on the road in time and ran over it. I luckily avoided the front tire being hit, but I could hear the rear tire picking it up off the road and flinging it back.
The damage:
Anyway, it caused a bit of damage to my driver's side REAR inner wheel liner. See pictures below for the bit of damage that occurred.
Picture further back to give you some perspective:

Similar situation/topic:
My situation is almost exactly like this topic, expect my damage happened on the REAR instead of the FRONT (and my doesn't appear as severe): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...3-present-237/
The damage that occurred doesn't affect my driving at all, but it's just not aesthetically pleasing (especially for me - since in my back of my head, I know it's there). Can anyone help me diagnose the amount of damage that I'm looking at and the help me figure out what part(s) that I need to fix it?
I can't tell if I can fix it just by purchasing some plastic rivet screws, similar to this:
I don't see where the rivet screws go - so any help on that (possibly with a picture or two) would be awesome help for me!
Thank you all in advance,

*bump*
Surprised to see no one respond. Anyone have any recommendations on where to start on this? I don't even know the part number - couldn't find it online.

Looks like it could be molded back into place with some new screws. I'd take the wheels off and try to push/bend it back and try to get the holes to line up for a screw/tab.

Ty viperr & kamskeez for the pictures/responses as well. I guess the first step is to make sure nothing else was damaged behind the liner, then I'll definitely try to push it back into place (and hopefully I can get the screw holes to lineup). Otherwise I might give the dealer a call to at least figure out the part number.

Good point Twidge - I might have a shop check it out to make sure nothing crucial got damaged behind that wheel liner. Appreciate the response.

If you end up needing a liner you can find it here, about halfway down the page: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts-...de-member.html. I would have linked directly but there are a couple of versions based on which options you have.
Greatly appreciate the help sir,

Hi all,
Quick update: There was a bit of damage behind the liner, but most of the cost was the liner itself. I had my local Lexus dealership do the work on it. Parts were overnighted. I have a friend that works at the dealership, so I got a bit of a discount, but original price of fixing everything was about $325 in parts + 2 hours of labor ~ $200 (not including tax).
It wasn't worth me shopping around for a better price, especially since I got a loaner for a few days and had it fixed while I worked. If the damage would have been more, I would have gotten insurance involved, but it wasn't worth going through all that.
Anyway, I thank everyone for their help!
