Trunk organization DIY (for people that travel a lot)
I do a lot of overnight traveling for work, and sometime the travel bag is just not good enough, or too big, and almost always wrinkles up my clothing.
Also, I live in Florida, so there are plenty of nights that I don't spend home and a lot of the time need a change of clothes after pool or the beach.
I remember one time seeing a police SUV for a diver and it got me wondering if I could do an organizational solution myself, on the cheap.
1. Nothing custom, something cheap.
2. Easily to organize, compartmentalized.
3. Can be installed or removed in seconds.
I present to you my solution:

I like my trunk completely empty, except for some emergency supplies inside the hidden trays in the trunk. Just can't stand the sound of items flying around and making noise when I'm taking corners.
Don't you get alot of rattle with those plastic storage cabinets rubbing against one another? That would drive me insane. But otherwise, I think you did a good job finding two that perfectly fit in that area of the trunk and it looks almost flush.
Where do you store your tooth brush and undies?

I have never in 10+ years of owning a Lexus used the pass through hole (I believe it's called ski hole)... But, if I have to.. It takes under 20 seconds to remove the storage with the net.

It has no where to slide and it doesn't get in the way of the trunk opening/closing.
Stick your finger in the crack between the covers and slide it back and forward until you will feel the bar.
Bellow is example of the bars from my car (too bad you cannot see the ends.
Here, snapped some pictures for ya..

Not my cup of tea (wouldn't have a need for this) - my truck stays pretty empty, but just wanted to say thank you Roman for introducing the unique idea, your excellent write-up, and follow-up pictures!
