Default Rear under bumper

Hello Guys,

I'm wondering if some of you can give me some feedback on this. While backing out the garage in my wife's car, I noticed this huge dent under my back bumper. It looks a lot worse than the picture. I'm not sure how this happened. Couple of things going through my mind..

1. Maybe a truck with a tow hitch bumped into it? I do have Enform. I would think impact like this would trigger the alarm? No alarm/notification since.

2. I took the car in for routine service not too long ago. Could this happen at the dealership? If it did, is it possible for me to request for security camera view? Do they usualy have cameras where the work is done?

3. How hard is it to replace this thing?

Thanks.

Pretty shaggy edge on it from what I can see, looks like someone backed it into a high curb and drove away without noticing. See if you can yank it down and straighten it out, seems like it'd have anchor points for the actual bumper and this piece could be hung up internally. A little tugging on it may fix it.

I had tried to yank it back out but it didn't do a thing. I'm gonna try with the hair dryer to see if I can warm it up and pull it out. Thanks.

take the bumper out and make it easier for u, 7 screws and the whole thing pops right out, just in case u did not brake the clips where the diffuser is.

From the looks of it you might have floor damage. Remove the spare and look at the floor.

If not remove the 5 screws & 2 clips that hold the lower cover on, and take a look
