Is this a an automatic 5k service?
Today when I got home I noticed the maintenance required sign. I checked my miles got 5078. Im guessing this is a auto service at 5k. I do have free services til 20,000 miles. Does not taking it in for service effect anything with Lexus ? I never serviced my other leased vehicles past the first service. Have friends with body shops so I never take it to the dealers unless its free.

If u have staggered wheels there is no point taking it in, just reset the maintenance light and it'll come back on at 10K miles. I just did mine this morning.

ok cool, yeah ill just reset because i put new wheels and tires 2 months ago so im good. ill take it on the 10k, let them hook it up to the computers and check it out. how many miles are you guys changing your oil, 7000?
and how much PSI do you guys have in the tires. When i bought the vehicle the cold tire pressure was set at 31 psi in front and 32 in the back, when it would warm up it would go to about 34 psi, and it felt ok. But the manual suggests 33psi for cold tire pressure, so i put 33 while cold and goes up to 37 when warm. What do you guys have ?

10,000 miles and I put about 37 psi cold and it'll go up to 40 when warm, but no more than 40 warm.

what mpg are you getting since i see you are from L.A. as well. Im curious at 40 psi. I think its a bit high, but im curious if our mpg differs by much, i get about 20-22 mpg. and i NEVER drive on ECO mode.

No, it rides the same and my tire wear is good. My tires are rated at 54 psi max, so 40 or under is good. But now it seems to stay between 34 and 36. It has been a while since my last fill up, I'm going to get it back up to 37 cold. I've run 37 on all my cars and the tires wear out good.

I havent gone on any long trips yet on the highway. I know i can get a better mpg than 20, but i drive a lot of city. but one time when i fueled up and drove to san diego from L.A. i got up to about 25-26mpg doing about 73 mph the whole way.

Well u know how LA traffic is. That's what killed my MPG. My best was 27 MPG cruising at 70 MPH on flat road with cruise control. But that's once in a blue moon, we don't get that much free flowing traffic here in LA.

I broke in my engine at 700 miles going no more then 70 mph (normal mode), at this point was getting really low mpg.
Went on a vegas trip took my baby to her 5k rpm going about 130mph (7 secs) ... then coast 90-100 mph back from vegas. My mpg is no 20-25 mpg .. i feel like i had to really break her in to get it where it needs to be.

cool thanks
the mpg is calculated going 65 mph, every mph you go above 65 mph your mpg is going to decrease dramatically. Let alone at 90-100mph.
I once got a ticket going to Vegas at 133 mph. This was about 4 years ago in my Mercedez, and the highway patrol wrote 130+ on the ticket. I was lucky he was a cool cop and didnt take me to jail or impound my vehicle. However my license was suspended for 90 days and i got a $2500 fine, which is the highest you can get for speeding in the U.S. In my defense it was at night time and the freeway was WIDE open.
It was a good lesson for me, now i just put it on cruise control and dont go above 70-73mph. So just be careful. Anything over 100 mph you go to jail, your car is impounded and license suspended. Not worth it.
