Default Low beam adjustment?

Hey there, is there any way to adjust the "base setting" for the low beams? It looks like mine are too high... yeah I know the HIDs are self adjusting but is there any way to zero them out?

Yes they are adjustable but you need a screwdriver with atleast a 18-20 inch shaft. You will have to remove the side engine covers and there's a notch you "fit" the philips head Into and adjust.

That one right there? Where I point the screwdriver? That doesn't sit too low... tried it but not sure if it had any effect. Found a scan from a maintenance manual that said there should be leveling scales but haven't found any??

No not that one. Its inside the fender! Need a long 10" screwdriver with a #3 Phillips tip. See red circle in pic. It goes in at 45 degrees, not vertical.

ServerTech is right. You will want to turn the screw and put it into that notch. Make sure not to force it as you can break the plastic housing that holds the adjustment screw.

The yellow circled below should be your leveling portion. From what I recall, mine was pretty dirty and I had to PlastiX is til I could see/use it.

Ahhh awesome guys, thanks! I will look into it

edit: now I need to figure out where the hell I'd find to purchase a screwdriver with such a long shaft lol Are the leveling scales supposed to be fixed on the car or are these just the spots where the leveling meter is supposed to be placed? I mean as an extra item? (which of course I am not in posession of)

I purchased mine at Harbor Freight. (http://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece...set-34253.html) This will give you more than enough length to reach the adjustment screw.

They should be fixed to the car. Inside should be something that looks like this:

I turned mine over 20 turns and neither side moved at all. The bubble stayed where it is. Are mine busted or do I need to have my car on? Mine has the auto levelling feature.

Yep, your car should be on when doing the adjustments

The long #3 Phillips screwdriver goes in the access hole inside the fender. It takes quite a few turns to make an adjustment. Don't touch the other adjustment screws.
