Default GS450h cannot find replacement front shocks, Help and Thx(with pics)

Hi There

Just got quoted from dealer, they wanted to charge $1,800 for a pair of front shocks of my GS450h 2008.

I am wondering if I can order genius parts online and get them installed by local mechanic.

But I found it very hard to order correct parts, any advise guys? Thanks

Here you go. You can buy from here or try to find on ebay. Toyota and Lexus share parts.

Do you have active stabilize? If you do not you can buy aftermarket KYB gas a just shocks. Even if you do have it, but dont want to fork over the oem money, you can still install them.

You can order the OEM Lexus parts on-line from numerous Lexus dealers at a discount. Contact them first and ask if they will ship to Australia. Just give your VIN number to the parts person and they will look up the correct part numbers. Then have a local mechanic install them. I installed new struts myself in the garage, but its not a job for a beginner.
Good luck mate!

If hes in Australia hes better off going to his local dealership, as most likely the Lexus cars are from Japan. Lexus Japan I believe sells parts way cheaper then Lexus USA.

The strut on that link says w/o active stabilizer, does that mean you'd lose that feature? I also want to replace my struts at some point in my 460 but don't want to lose that feature. I'm pretty sure all 430,450H and 460s had it.

my oem is KYB one. Have tried to contact the KYB Australia but they seem don't know anything even I gave the picture and vin. Have tried to contact us seller, they can't find my vin in their system. Any reliable Japanese part website would you received mend to me? I have contacted my local garage , they are able to install but not sure which stock to order. Thanks
