Buying a 2006 GS300
So I put a deposit down on a one owner trade in at the Lexus dealer. Its a glacier frost mica awd. Carbon buildup recall was done at 83k miles with essentially a full rebuild, no history of oil loss, and full service history. Also replaced the midpipe I believe 2 years ago, so that has been taken care of. Mobil 1 oil changes done every 5k, and looking inside the fill cap, engine looks very clean. The car has no nav, but I am curious about adding a camera. Is there any way to add one using something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/281488176094?ul_noapp=true or is there a plug for this kind of adapter in the back of the headunit? I'm taking it out soon to add my GROM adapter, but for anyone whoes gone in there before, please let me know. Also, are water pump failures on the 300 as common as on the 350? Most I have seen tend to be on the 3.5 engine. The car was a one owner and maintained very well, but is there anything else I need to look for? I checked the shocks and axles all of which are dry and not leaking, headlight has light condensation, but dries up quickly, and the last owner installed a k&n filter, so I need to clean that, the MAF, and the throttle body. Also, does the car have a transmission dipstick? I would like to do a transmission drain and fill as well as service the front and rear diff. Any other advice would be great
