Which Tire; 235/35/20 or 245/30/20
Hi All,
info:
07 GS350 AWD
Lowered on BC coilovers
No fender mods in front
Rear fenders are shaved
Issue: rubbing on full turns.
Wheels: 20x10 +25 all around
I'm debating on picking up another set of 235/35/20 tires again for the summer or go with what I see which is popular on here on the forum s, 245/30/20 tires.
I'm having this debate because last summer i was rubbing on full turns on the 235/35 and was getting a bit annoying and attracts alot of attention from a good looking car making that noise smh lol. But with the help of members on here, they shared some of their knowledge and told me i should try running a 245/30.
My dilemma is, i like a tire to have a little meat on them due to living here in MASS there are a lot of horrible roads and ginormous potholes; with that said the 245/30 series worries me a little, but if it doesn't cause me to rub on full turns, that might be my options..
Anyone else having this issue, maybe some steps i should take?
Please chime in and give me your input on what i should do.. Thanks!

You want more meat on the tire but don't want it to rub? That's hard to ask for when you have a 20x10 +25 in the front. Not sure 245/30/20 will get rid of your problems although it has less chance to rub than the 235/35/20. I did have 245/30 for a while and it cleared well however I also got a small bend in my wheels. Best course of action I think is to shave down the metal tab in the front wheelwell that you are probably rubbing on. Then if not get the 245/30 and pray you don't hit a big pothole!

Ah I see, 245/30/20 just may be the tire size you need to make it work. The dent was small because my wheels are forged and I feel like the wheel is not 100% round but still fine to roll on, the vibration is minor. But then again this all depends on the pot hole, speed, angle. No matter what you should be driving slower and more carefully once you have aftermarket wheels.
