Tire Question HELP
I have 8.5inch in the front and run a 245/35/20 and 9.5 in the rear and run a 265/30/20 and i was thinking of running a stretched tire setup would that be a 255/30/20 in the rear and a 235/35/20. What are the pro and con in running a stretch setup. Should I run a 35 series all the way around or 30 in the rear and a 35 in the front. Thanks for all the comments

well first off before I start i gotta say that i'm not a big fan of tire stretching... not to talk down but I dont know to much in the area of stretching but what I can say is that I got 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in the back running on Nitto NT555 with 245/35/20 up front and 285/30/20 in the back... now what I can do is give you some facts... I did the math and these would be your sidewall height (how thick your tire is)
245/35/20= 3.38 in
265/30/20= 3.13 in
235/35/20= 3.24 in
255/30/20- 3.01 in
So right now I can assume that your front tire looks fatter than the rear... now I have alot of experience with tires as I go through alot of them... now I still got my 245/35 up front but I used to have a 275/30 in the back which was like .25 in thinner than the front... so the 285/30 is equal to the front and it looks way better... now as far as stretching goes the 275 that i used to have on the rear was slightly streched and I hated it cuz 1. it was bumpy as hell, 2. the lip of my wheel was exposed to the dangers of the curbs... Now I live in houston and my setup right now is bumpy as hell, I see that you're in texas and I assume that this is your daily driver... and you gotta ask yourself, do you care if you get a uncomfortable ride, do you have money to spend on wheel repair cuz at the size you want to run a slight pothole in the road at the right speed will bend your wheel... And the last thing I gotta say is that wider is better and sexier!!!

a stretch wont look good if there is no need for it. you really only want to stretch for fitment and when your car is low such that the curve of the stretch basically sits inside the curve of the arch. otherwise it looks strange!
8.5 is reasonably narrow to acheive stretch also.

Will like to know the brand too. Can't see any brand after a close inspection. I bought it used. Either can't order a hubcentric because I don't know the brand, unless I make my own measures.

Yes, they are really bad. Right now I'm rolling with the stocks wheels in the mean time I can buy fatter tires. (The rim is outset of the tire so a road hit is being catch by the rim)
Each repair for the damage is about $65!
So this why I recommend fatter tires to protect the rim.

i run BFG G-Force tires i have a big bubble in the back tire right now so i need some new tires. I don't have any issues with my rear tire with rubbing or anything like that. Now my front tires i have issues with when i go up a slight incline while i am turning slightly my tires hits fender and i rub slightly when i hit big dips with the 245/35/20. i was thinking if i run a stretched tire that i won't rub as bad when i go lower. but if i run a stretch in the front i think i should run it in the back as well. so for right now since i need to get two new tires i might as well pick the size i want and replace the front tires when need.

maybe i should just get some new rims then i won't have this problem haha... and i think with new tires i won't get the vibration that i have now when i do 65 mph. When the tires were new i never had those vibration but as they wear down i start to have those vibration and its gettin annoying
