Thinking about coming back to Lexus GS family
Hey guys, I am thinking about purchasing 2010 or 2011 Lexus GS350. I had 06 GS300 and been missing the quite cabin and the luxurious amenities of a Lexus. Is there any thing I should look for when purchasing 2010-11 GS350? Any major recalls? TSB? transmission problems? Thanks.

can't go wrong with lexus especially in the higher mileage range. It's as reliable as it gets and holds nice resale value.
very dependable and the mechanics are very sound. The exterior styling is kinda lacking but the reliability is pretty top notch and dealer support is amazing.
there are two TSB's that lexus will fix for free, and stay away from the 2006 gs300s. That's about it IMO.

thanks for your prompt response. I do have following questions:
1. which model has the bluetooth audio?
2. any oil consumption issues?
3. any transmission problems?
I am coming from infiniti g37s and really miss the GS's comfortable ride.

I have 08 GS 350, 100k miles, purchased used at 28k miles. It has been an excellent car. Their is slight oil consumption, but the owners who maintain their vehicles per guidelines will most likely not notice. See my comments and conversation on 2006-2010 quality. Transmissions appear to be well above average, but change out the transmission fluid and do not believe in lifetime without preventative maintenance. I have replaced 12 quarts in the first 100k, see procedures and posts. I had approx. 4 quarts replaced at each interval and cost was $145. I intend or hope to keep for 200k miles or until my wife lets me buy a different car. This would give me about 16 years
