08 gs350?
Hey guys I'm actually from the 2is side of the fourms but a dealer just gave me a deal for a gs350 08 with 66k miles no mark levingston or navi for 20k is this a deal worth trading my car in? I currently have a 09 is250 with 98k miles. And help would be great!

personally, I'd keep looking unless the dealer could come down. Unless it's AWD...20K is just a tad under full retail book. Not sure what part of the country you're in...but these cars can be picked up cheaper in relation to book value in Tx, Okla area. I'm not saying the car isn't "worth" it...because ultimately it's what ever a person is willing to pay that creates a "real value"...but I'm the type of buyer that buys "deals"/"good value". I looked for close to a year (didn't NEED to have it right away, as I was just adding another car, not replacing) and ended up finding a 2009 with Nav/Mark Lev and 74k miles for $17,500 out the door. That was just a little higher than "rough book" (back at beginning of Jan). Granted, I wouldn't expect to find deals like this on every corner but I can jump online right now and find several in Tex that would be "good deals".
In addition, I would strongly consider looking into buying a used GS directly from an original owner in your local area. I've purchased 3 different vehicles from the actual owners and made out very very well. They want the cars gone, they know the dealer won't give them a fair value for it (trust me...I work with nearly a hundred of them) and usually they end up with more than a dealer would give and the buyer ends up paying less than they would to a dealer. Keep it local and you can have a auto tech check it out (for your peace of mind) and you can pay the $15 or so to pull a carfax or AutoCheck. You're able to get complete history on the car right from the source and usually full manuals/key's, etc. It's a little trickier in regards to arranging payment (if you're not paying cash) but the savings can really be worth it. I now see you're in CA...I would think you'd have plenty of FSBO GS's out there.
