It goes into the cd player slot and has 2 flaps that extend to hold it in place, it attaches with a magnet to the phone (metal plate has to be on the back of the phone) . For the 5 days that i used it, it never came out the cd player slot nor did the phone fall off the magnet on bumps. I love it, just wanted to share with you guys.

I would be worried about that bending the internals of the cd changer and possibly damaging it. Also putting a magnet behind a cell phone I dont think that can be good for it

but our CD slot is too low down... seems a bit dangerous for the phone display that far away from the view of the road.

Magnet is on the clip it self, what you put behind your phone is a small piece of metal sheet. It mount does not go in deep to even damage anything, this is why I test fitted before getting it.

With it being that low I might as well keep it in the cup holder...lol

It needs to be way higher to be advantageous to me.

Agreed! I don't have a Lex, however the cd slot is so low, you literally HAVE to divert your entire viewing place to look downwards to see your phone. It also seems to block certain areas of the middle console... As Gotcha said..just keep it in the cup holder and pick it up when need be! Just my 2 cents.

Few problems with the cup holder, When in the cup holder it is angled straight, which is not comfortable, take's up 1 full space of a cup holder (can't have 2 drinks, usually I would have coffee and a bottle of water), Can't charge it in the cup holder, If i flip the phone around (iphone 6) sensor thinks its dark because the earpiece is on the bottom and darkens up the screen. If anyone seen the new Q50 double screen dash, it also looks exactly alike. It made my life a lot easier, I have done ton of research to get the perfect phone mount for our cars and I will say this is the best out there for now, the only other better system would be from Vaistech that puts iphone screen on the navigation display and even with that I consider this. I use waze a lot which is why I need something like this. i know if you order from ebay or amazon they give you 14 days to return it. To each their own

I have been using the new version mountek ngroove snap 2 and I have to agree this is the best mount! I just place the magnet between my phone and the case.
