Has anyone actually cleaned the TB?

I've cleaned my tb before..it's pretty easy. All you need to do really is just remove the air box and intake tube...I cleaned my tb attached to the car Because it was a little difficult to remove it. Just spray some cleaner on the front and open the throttle slightly and clean the inside..remember to use a lint free rag. I believe there is a diy on here somewhere and while you have the intake tube and box off might as well clean the MAF sensor. My car did feel a lot smoother after. No problems to date and it's been about 6 months.

I figured, it makes sense to remove the tb and thoroughly clean it. Btw, how many miles did the vehicle have when you decided to clean it?
Also, did you purchase a new gasket for the tb or reuse the old one. I called the dealer to find out the price and they quoted me $57
