Default 2008 GS450H Buying advice

Hi, i'm currently seeking 2008 GS450H for $27,950 @ 57,721 mi. Cert Warranty. I'm asking because this is a first time i ever buy a car or dealing with dealer. I have not test drive it yet but at current price/miles is this worth to buy?

I'm planning keeping the car for at least 5 years plus. How's the maintenance for 2008 model and should i worry about battery replacement later on when i hit 100k miles? Or should i add another 5k-7k for 2011 GS 350? I would ask dealer all these questions but i been told not to trust them. But the car is under 100k/Warranty at Lexus. Thanks for any input.

Oh god please no. This is the one at Westside Lexus. Don't deal with these jokers, I have bought cars from them in the past, dealt with their collision department, and their service dept. They are all useless. I saw that car because it's comparable to my car ('08 with 70K), and I thought it was alright. The carfax turned me off though because it has 3 owners. CPO doesn't matter, these cars are perfectly fine without them. GS450h's are good cars for long term reliability if you know what you are doing. They are beautiful pieces of engineering that only a few appreciate. Get battery replaced before warranty ends. Don't waste money on a 2011, they're EXACTLY the same. PM me for any questions. Was thinking about selling my car too.

Yea its hard to get a deal at that place for some reason and their price is always couple grands higher than other dealer. Yea 3 previous owners kind of throws me off too but i'm still shopping around and i do want to avoid the West side dealership. but if i can get a drive out at around 25k i would probably take it. Thanks for head up.

You hit the nail right on the head, I just picked up my 450h with 94k miles two weeks ago.

Was watching it sit at the dealer since August. The deciding factor on this car was just before the old owner traded it in he took it to Lexus for a Hybrid battery light on.
After buying it the "check hybrid system" went on twice and went off before the battery finally died. (just like I wanted)
Monday the dealer installed a new hybrid battery free of charge under warranty and wow is this car amazing!!!
Its fast, incredible gas mileage- I've been in the low 30's in LA traffic

Do your research, Carfax is your friend and if you have a VIN # a dealer Lexus can check on services done.

Any questions go ahead and ask away here.
Good luck

What??? Low 30's is awesome. I'm only getting mid 20's in stop and go, and I'm not gunning it at all.

My battery wasn't even a week old so maybe that had something to do with it.

Isn't the warranty 8 years/100k miles? Wouldn't that make it 2015? Or was the first inservice date in 2006?
